Top 5 Wednesday | June 17: Books You Read in One Sitting (or Close to)

Hey everyone!

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Lainey. You basically get a new topic every Wednesday, and you list your Top 5 books related to that topic. Head over to the Goodreads group, and add your name to the list of Wednesday-ers if you’re interested in participating!

Today’s topic is “Books You Read in One Sitting (or Close to)”

I’ll try my best to not include graphic novels in this, because most of the graphic novels I have read have been read in one sitting! Click on the title to go to the Goodreads page!

Here’s my full review! (Psst, check it out, I really loved this book and it doesn’t get enough love!)

1. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

No surprise there. This is one of my favorite books of all time. Once upon a time, a sixteen-year old eleventh grader sat down and devoured this book in three hours and cried her eyes out and remembered it forever. 🙂

So that’s it for this week’s T5W. Hope you enjoyed! I’d love to see some of your posts, so link me to them in the comments. Happy reading, everybody!

P.S. This is like my third blog post today, wow.

  1. I read To All The Boys in One Sitting too!! I like how Jenny Han can make her readers be purely immersed on her writing. Even her PS I Love You and Summer Trilogy. This is a nice list you made 😀

    • Thanks so much! I read PS I Still Love You in one sitting as well, but I didn’t like it much, so I left it out of my list! 🙁 Thanks for stopping by! x

  2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of my favorite books as well! Definitely read the book in one sitting. 🙂

    • It’s a very unique series; beautifully written, and it has a dark vibe to it. 🙂 Hope you enjoy it when you finally find the time to get to it! Thanks for stopping by! x

  3. One of my proudest accomplishments as a reader was sitting down and DEVOURING the last Harry Potter book in two hours! I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!! (I’m such a dork! :))

    • WOW! That’s impressive! I read it in two days back when I was in seventh grade (has it really been 8 years, haha!) You’re not a dork for loving Harry Potter xD I’m a huge Potterhead myself. 🙂 What would you say your favorite one is of the series?

      • Thanks! The way I solve that age rift is by acting like I’m a five-year-old. It works wonders! Potterheads unite!!! Ugh! That’s a hard one… can do I choose?!?!? Um… probably the last one, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, since I usually tend to read faster when I liked what I’m reading. HP FOREVER!!!

  4. I kind of would have read We Were Liars in a single sitting too if it wasn’t for my tight schedule. And I seriously wish I had read Perks of being a Wallflower by now. I need to I know….
    Nice Picks
And I believe reading fantasy in a single sitting is no easy feat. So Raven Boys must be really that good 🙂

    • Perks is a great book! You should definitely check it out if you get the chance! 🙂

Haha! I remember I had nothing to do- absolutely nothing, so I just flew through the entire book in a few hours! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! x
