Top 5 Wednesday | June 24: Characters You Wish You Could Drown

T5W

Hey everyone!

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Lainey. You basically get a new topic every Wednesday, and you list your Top 5 books related to that topic. Head over to the Goodreads group, and add your name to the list of Wednesday-ers if you’re interested in participating!

Today’s topic is “Top Five Characters You Wish You Could Drown”

5. The Greyjoys

A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Ice & Fire #5) by George R.R. Martin

Okay, I’m sorry, but the Greyjoys are perhaps some of the most dull characters I’ve ever read. Apart from Theon Greyjoy, I don’t care about any of them. I’m not invested in their story. I don’t know what their purpose is, and I’m really glad that the show decided to not include them because gosh *snore*

4. Casey Palmer

Winger (Winger #1) by Andrew Smith

I read this book a couple of days ago, and Casey Palmer is one of my most hated characters of all-time. I won’t say too much because it would be a spoiler.

3. John Mclaren

P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before #2) by Jenny Han

Okay, I feel absolutely awful for this, but this guy was so unnecessary to the story. I would have liked this book so much more if he hadn’t existed.

2. Amy Dunne

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

No explanation required. This girl was absolutely nuts.

1. Rhysand

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1) by Sarah J. Maas

I sort of feel terrible about this one too, because Rhysand is such a fantastic character. But he’s going to come in between my OTP, and I’d rather that didn’t happen. Rhysand needs to get the hell off my boat, and if that means him drowning, so be it. *keeps Feyre and Tamlin safe forever*

That’s it for this Top Five Wednesday post! 🙂

Happy reading, everyone!

  • Aw, I’m sad to see Rhysand as number one!! I agree, if he comes between Feyre and Tamlin, he has to go. But I love Rhysand for himself!

  • Noooo not Rhysand! Okay, if he ends up with Feyre, then I understand, but he’s just such an intriguing character! <3 At least leave him for me please! LOL! XD

    • I’m sorry T_T I like him too, but I just don’t want anything to happen to Feylin. :3

      • Yep, same here… 🙂 But I’m pretty sure no matter what happens, Sarah Maas won’t disappoint! I mean, how could Feylin NOT be together…? It wouldn’t work, lol.

        • Yeah! I feel like if Feyre gets involved romantically with Rhysand, the entire first book would make no sense since it revolved around Feyre’s undying love and devotion to Tamlin. xD

  • I completely agree about Amy Dunne! I switched loyalties in that book countless times and I will never forgive her for making me trust her. Ugh.

    • I was pretty sure there was something off about her because of what I’d heard about the book before reading it. :3 x

  • One more reason I need to read Gone Girl!

By the way, I nominated you blog for the Real Neat Blog Award. Here’s the link:

  • I haven’t read the others but I agree about Rhysand and that guy added to P.S I Still Love You, I feel love triangles are too frustrating to deal with now.

  • Hey! I think your blog is really beautiful, and I love how you are incorporating the T5W! It is nice to see some variety in blogs! That’s why I nominated you for the Blogger Recognition award! Congrats! Head over to my blog to see the details for the award!
