Top Ten Tuesday | Movie Adaptations I Haven’t Seen

top ten tuesday

Hello everyone! It’s that time of the week again! Top Ten Tuesday is a book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Basically, you get a different bookish topic every Tuesday, and you comprise a list of ten (or however many you’re able to list) relating to said topic.

Today’s topic is ‘Top Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I’m Looking Forward To or Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I Still Need To Watch.’

I’m not a huge fan of movie adaptations. I much prefer TV show adaptations over movies, but I’ll try my best to do this. These are in no particular order.

1- Paper Towns by John Green

paper towns

Read the book, haven’t seen the movie.

2 – Pride and prejudice by jane austen

Read the book, haven’t seen the movie.

3 – Mockingjay (part II) by Suzanne Collins

Read the book. Can’t wait for this – going to see the premiere. 😀

4 – Me, Earl & the dying girl by jesse andrews

Read the book, haven’t seen the movie.

5 – Far from the madding crowd by thomas hardy

Read the book, haven’t seen the movie.

6 – The Scorch Trials by James Dashner

Haven’t read the book, but I quite enjoyed the first movie.

7 – The Martian by Andy Weir

Haven’t read the book, but I plan on reading it before watching this. Still, I’m super excited because Matt Damon is everything.

  1. I also haven’t seen any of these! And unfortunately many of these I haven’t read the books for either! Except perhaps the Hunger Games and Paper Towns!
    Great post!

  2. Ooh I watched The Martian without having read the book and I really enjoyed it! I’m planning to read the book soon though. I would totally recommend seeing it on the big screen if it’s still showing because it’s so atmospheric and epic!

  3. I have watched none of the maze runner movies since i never read the books but I don’t know if I should. Pride and Prejudice is a great movie, especially that version. I still haven’t read the classic though

  4. I liked the Me and Earl and the Dying Girl movie a lot better than the book somehow. The ending just wrecked me!
Also, I hope you’ll like the Martian. I thought the book was funnier and explained things better.

  5. I love that adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Most people love the one with Colin Firth but I just love the way Joe Wright directed this one and Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen were great as Elizabeth and Darcy.

  6. Matt Damon really is everything! You’ll love both the book and the film! They did a really great job with this adaptation! 🙂
