Hi everyone! Today, I thought I would do something I’ve never done on my blog before. I have a ton of series that I haven’t completed, which include series I definitely will finish, series I may or may not finish, and series I’m pretty sure I won’t finish. For the series I’m not sure about, I’d maybe like some input. Let me know: should I take another chance and continue on with the rest of the series?
Note: this list only includes series that have books released which I have not read.

Series I Will Definitely Finish:
The Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick Riordan – Completed
Books I’ve Read: 4 – The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, The Mark of Athena & The House of Hades
Books Yet to Read: 1 – The Blood of Olympus
I loved, loved the Percy Jackson & the Olympian series when I was younger. I thought I would love this series just as much, but I guess I’m a little too old for the constant adventure, the constant action. It’s not a bad series at all- it’s just taking me a little while to get through it. One of my goals for this summer is to finish this, so hopefully I’ll get to the last book by the end of August.
Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas – In Progress
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 1 – Heir of Fire
I love this series. I have given the first two books five out of five stars, and I’m putting off reading the last one because the fourth book is still pretty far away. Hopefully, I’ll be reading the third one this month or next month.
Daughter of Smoke & Bone Series by Laini Taylor – Completed
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 1 – Dreams of Gods & Monsters
Love this series! It’s so unique, so unlike anything I’ve ever read before. I’m sure the last book is going to be just as good as the second one, if not better. Again, I’ll be finishing this series by the end of this summer.
Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead – Completed
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 4 – Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound, Last Sacrifice
This is a fun series, I have to admit that. It’s not blowing me away or anything. The books I have read both received three out of five stars. I do plan on completing the series, but I plan on getting through it nice and slow, because I don’t expect too much.
Seven Realms Series by Cinda Williams Chima – Completed
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 2 – The Gray Wolf Throne, The Crimson Crown
This is a severely under appreciated series in the book blogging community. Critically acclaimed, yes, but severely under appreciated. The world-building is brilliant, the story is rich and complex, the characters are unique and lovable. I’ll try finishing this series as soon as I possibly can!
The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson – In Progress
Books I’ve Read: 1 – The Kiss of Deception
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 1 – The Heart of Betrayal
The second book in the series just came out this month. I plan on reading it as soon as I get back from vacation. The first book was pretty good, so I’m expecting great things from the second one.
Unfinished Series I Might Finish:
Pivot Point Duology by Kasie West – Completed.
Books I’ve Read: 1 – Pivot Point
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 1 – Split Second
I read the first book, and I enjoyed it, but I didn’t find myself compelled to read the second one. Since the second book focuses on a different character – one I didn’t particularly care for – I’m hesitant to pick this up. However, the concept still intrigues me, so I do see myself picking this up some time in the future.
The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray – Completed
Books I’ve Read: 1 – A Great and Terrible Beauty
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 2 – Rebel Angels, The Sweet Far Thing
I read the first book last year, and I was kind of disappointed. Libba Bray is a fantastic writer; I read her the Diviners and I fell in love with everything in it. I’m not too big on paranormal books, which is why the first one didn’t captivate me much, but I’ve heard from a ton of people that the second one is better, so I might give it a go.
The Unwind Dystology by Neal Shusterman – Completed
Books I’ve Read: 1 – Unwind
Books I’ve Yet to Read: 3 – Unwholly, Unsoulled, Undivided
This is kind of weird, but I adored the first book. But I lost interest in picking up the rest of the series, because I do think that Unwind could be a great standalone. I would definitely recommend people read Unwind- it is creative, haunting and brilliant. I own the second book, so if I feel like it, I’m prepared.
Series I Will Not Finish:
Shatter Me Trilogy by Tahereh Mafi – Completed
Books I’ve Read: 1 – Shatter Me
Books I Haven’t Read: 2 – Unravel Me, Ignite Me
The first book was meh. It didn’t captivate me; the writing started getting on my nerves around the 60% mark, the characters were uninspiring. The story was good. I’ll give you that – it was fast-paced and addicting. I’ve heard from so many people that the books get better, but I can’t find it in myself to spend the time and money.
Necromancer Duology by Lish McBride – Completed
Books I’ve Read: 1 – Hold Me Closer, Necromancer
Books I Haven’t Read: 1 – Necromancing the Stone
Meh. I feel no need to continue reading. The first one was funny; I would recommend it to fans of the Darren Shan saga in a heartbeat, but I wasn’t invested enough to continue.
