Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

  1. I’d love to hear what you think of The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. I’ve been meaning to it for some time. Are you enjoying it?
I’ve also heard so many great things about the Grisha Trilogy. Have you read it already?

    • It’s okay. I’m only halfway through, but it’s reading a lot like a biography at the moment. I think it’s trying to encompass too much story in too little pages. But I’ve heard the second half is faster, so I’m looking forward to it!
I’ve read the Grisha trilogy, yes. It was quite enjoyable! The Darkling is a great character, and I really appreciated that Bardugo consistently did what was best for the series, which made it very realistic! 🙂 Hope you get around to reading it! x

  2. I can’t wait to get Six of Crows!! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it! Like, every review I’ve ever read on The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavendar is like raving! I hope you enjoy it just as much 🙂

    • Hi, Jenna! I’m almost halfway through, and I do think it’s interesting, but for me, it reads more like a biography than a novel. 🙁 I’m enjoying it, though, so we’ll see how it goes!
I hope you enjoy the Grisha trilogy! 😀

      • Oh that’s true. There’s definitely more plot in the second half of the book when we get to finally read more about Ava! I loved reading about her grandmother and mother though, so I wasn’t too annoyed with the nature of the book!

    • Ah! Everybody’s getting me so hyped for Six of Crows! I can’t wait to get into it! Let’s hope my exams don’t get in the way of my reading schedule again, haha! xD Thanks for stopping by, Analee! x

      • Nope I read it before my blogging days! I hate it when books have unexplained phenomena haha. There were a bunch of things that happened that the author just immediately passed and I was like wait, what?! And then it kind of just disturbed me at the end! Are you liking it??

        • I’ve only read one chapter so I don’t know… I’ve learned magical realism doesn’t work too well for me. I read Magonia earlier this year and I HATED it. But I’ve heard such great things about this, so I thought I’d give it a go! x

          • Well now you know it’s coming so you won’t be taken by surprise like I was haha I hope you enjoy it! I’ll be curious to see what you think!

  3. I need Six of Crows ASAP! Can’t wait to see what you think about it! 🙂
I also have The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavendar on my TBR.

    • Hope you enjoy the Grisha trilogy! I quite liked it, though I didn’t think it was the best thing out there. :3
Yes! They just keep getting better. They are a bit twisted and graphically violent, but they’re brilliant. Especially this third one, which I think is now my favorite book of the year. :3 Or maybe second favorite.
